The “How Balanced Is Your Life?” contest is offered as part of the “Work-Life Balance” initiative. The following information will help you to implement the contest in your workplace.

Purpose of this Contest

This contest offers employees a way to gain some insight into their own personal work-life balance challenges and to address personal strategies that will help create more balance in their lives.

Support Materials

• One poster to promote the contest with space allocated for noting contest details (e.g. date of the contest, where to pick up and drop off participation forms, prizes to be won).
• Ballot boxes for employees to use to enter the contest, with space provided to note contest details.
• Sample voice mail, e-mail and pay stub message scripts to promote the contest to employees.
• Prizes (see next page for details).

Promoting the Contest

In addition to the display materials provided, you may want to consider other ways of communicating the contest details to employees including:

• Attaching a ballot to employees’ pay stubs so that every employee has the opportunity to participate in the contest.
• Sending out e-mail or voice mail messages.

The deadline to enter the “How Balanced Is Your Life” contest is fast approaching.  For your chance to win, pick up a contest entry form at ______, complete it, and then deposit the form at _____.  The contest closes on ______ .

• Movie theatre tickets
