What to bring
- Passport.
- Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) Card.
- Immunization Record.
- Record of medical problems and allergies.
- List of all medications you are currently taking.
- Travel itinerary with departure and return dates, the exact number of days in each country, and destinations within each country.
What to expect
- Your first consultation may take 2 to 3 hours for a complete travel assessment.
- Consultations for Yellow Fever vaccine only will take about 1 hour.
- A computer printout will be prepared, identifying your specific risk factors. These will be reviewed with you, along with fact sheets on all recommended vaccines and medications.
- You may receive immunizations at your first visit.
Follow-up appointments will be booked as needed and may take up to 30 – 45 minutes.
Under the direction of the Medical Officer of Health, Registered Nurses can provide:
- All routine, recommended, and required immunizations.
- Medication and/or prescriptions for Malaria prevention.
- Antibiotic treatments and prevention for travellers’ diarrhea.
- Other pertinent travel health counselling and information.
Fees and Method of Payment
- OHIP no longer pays for pre-travel health services.
- A full travel consultation is $30.00* per person.
- Yellow Fever consultation is $20.00* per person.

We accept cash, debit, or VISA as payment. Official itemized receipts will be issued for drug-plan reimbursement requests. All prices are subject to change without notice.
