WHAT LOVE DOES…
A description of how love makes you feel
  • Care about you
  • Encourage you to be all you can be
  • Encourage you to have faith and believe in yourself
  • Act gentle in its way of dealing with you
  • Keep secrets safe
  • Show kindness
  • Laugh a lot, always with, never at
  • Look for goodness in you and finds it
  • Make you feel glad that you’re you
  • See good things in you that others have never noticed
  • Speak up when you need someone to defend you
  • Admit weaknesses
  • Take responsibility for its own behavior
  • Apologize, with effort to change
  • Tell you the truth
  • Think about you and your needs
  • Understand your ups and downs
  • Allow you to make mistakes
  • Want to share in your happiness and is happy when you are happy

 

WHAT LOVE DOES NOT….

 

  • Abuse you or take you for granted
  • Blame you or carry grudges
  • Get you into win-lose arguments
  • Judge you
  • Use you
  • Assume how you feel
  • Make you prove yourself again and again
  • Need to always be right
  • Punish you for being wrong
  • Remember everything you have done wrong
  • Undermine your confidence in yourself
  • Put you down
  • Make decisions that may affect you without asking
  • Bully you (yelling, crying, withholding affection, privileges or money)
