Hot Weather Advisories
Summer is a great time of the year, but when it gets too hot and humid, we need to protect ourselves. To prevent heat illness, drink plenty of fluids, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Eat smaller meals and snacks throughout the day. Air conditioning is one of the best ways to stay cool. If you don’t have air, go to a mall, library or community center. Take care of yourself and your family, especially infants, young children and the elderly. If you have health problems or are taking medications that may put you at risk, contact your health care provider. Stay cool, stay safe.
