A variety of quit smoking brochures are available, free-of-charge, from the Health Unit.


The following brochures on quitting smoking are available by contacting the Tobacco Hotline at 258-2146, ext. 3214 or tobacco@wechealthunit.org

1.  Smokers’ Helpline:  Thinking about quitting? – published by the Canadian Cancer Society

This brochure outlines the services available from the Canadian Cancer Society’s Smokers’ Helpline.  The Smokers' Helpline is a free, confidential telephone service (1 877 513-5333) for all smokers, whether or not they are ready to quit. Trained quit specialists can provide you with information, advice and support along with print resources and referrals to local programs and services in your community. They can also assist family and friends who would like to help a smoker quit.
