Quit Smoking Resources for Youth
The Health Unit’s Comprehensive School Health Department offers Quit 4 Life quit smoking classes at different high schools across Windsor-Essex during the school year. This program was developed by Health Canada. Those interested should contact the school office to determine if the program is being offered. For information is also available by contacting the Health Unit at 519-258-2146, ext. 1260.
The Quit 4 Life program is also available on-line and lasts for 4 weeks. Users must complete on-line activities including how to get started, how to quit and how to stay smoke free. Other services include a quitting calendar to keep track of smoke-free days as well as e-mail reminders for support. The link to the Quit 4 Life on-line program can be found under "Links" in the "Related Content" section of this site.
