The purpose of this contest is to promote the benefits of cycling as both an alternate form of transportation and a way to improve your health and fitness.

Why is it important to bike to work?

  •  Health benefits – Participation in regular physical activity, like bicycling, can reduce the risk of many diseases including heart disease and certain types of cancer. Other benefits include reaching and keeping a healthy weight and having increased energy levels.
  • Environmental benefits – Burning fossil fuels is a major contributing factor to global climate change. Reducing short trips in your vehicle will help improve air quality. A cleaner environment will contribute to a healthier community.
  • Financial benefits – Bicycling to work can affect your bottom line; cost savings include gas, parking and wear and tear on your vehicle.

To enter the contest, follow these simple rules:
  • Ride your bicycle to work (at least one-way) in June, you may enter the contest up to FIVE (5) times – but we hope you will ride as often as you can!

Box 1607, Windsor ON, N9A 6S1), any county municipal office, any participating workplace OR any bike shop (Ambassador Bicycles, Bicycle World, Courtesy Bicycles, Dixie Lawn and Cycle, Maximum Edge Bicycles, Tecumseh Cycle, and The Bicycle Shop).
