The Intake Nurse responds to calls from Windsor and Essex County residents. Contact the Intake Nurse Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m - 4:30 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays).

Services Provided:

Telephone Counselling

The most common questions relate to:

• Breastfeeding.
• Parenting.
• Head lice prevention & treatment.
• General child care issues.
• General infectious disease inquiries.

Other information provided by the Intake Nurse includes:

• Referrals to the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program. This program services expectant parents and families
  with children birth to six years old.
• Delivering information about Health Unit programs. Requests for specific services are forwarded to managers.
• Providing program descriptions, links and contact information for services and supports available in Windsor-Essex County.
