Congratulations, you are going to have a baby! Do you want to learn about your pregnancy and growing baby?

Here are ways to find information about:

Online Classes

This online prenatal course www.anewlife.cipanb.ca provides reliable up-to-date information. You will learn about making healthy choices and giving your baby the best start in life. Please note that this online prenatal course is from the province of New Brunswick. Ontario residents must register their child with Ontario’s office of the Registrar General. At the same time you can apply for a birth certificate and Social Insurance Number. Log onto Service Ontario www.serviceontario.ca  and click on Newborn Registration Service.

Group Classes

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit offers free prenatal classes. These classes fill up quickly, so register early.

  • You begin classes in your second trimester of pregnancy.
  • You and your labour coach attend evening classes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for six weeks.
  • The classes are held in Windsor and Leamington. You can register for Windsor classes by calling 519-258-2146, ext. 1340 and for Leamington classes by calling 519-258-2146, ext 2100.
