Professional Dental Cleaning and Fluoride Treatment for CINOT Program
Your child will receive a personal oral health lesson by a Dental Assistant. The lesson includes brushing of the teeth, a demonstration of flossing and a discussion of good eating habits. Also the formation of plaque and cavities will be explained. This enables your child to keep his/her teeth healthy after treatment by your dentist. It also encourages them to take responsibility for their own dental care.
A Registered Dental Hygienist will then professionally clean the teeth with fluoride toothpaste and an air driven polisher. When necessary hard deposits are removed with scalers. Topical Fluoride is applied. The child cannot rinse, eat or drink for 30 minutes. This service will help to prevent further dental problems such as gum disease and/or cavities.
