HUMAN RESOURCES

Report to the Board of Directors
2007 February 8

The Essex and Windsor Health and Safety Committees met last week at their quarterly meeting.  A new policy will be drawn up for Infection Control in the Workplace and Dr. Heimann will be assisting in developing the policy.  Ms. Lynn Delisle resigned as the ONA worker representative.  I would like to personally thank her for her hard work on the committee.  She will be missed.
Ms. Deb Silvester has stepped up to be the new ONA representative.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the new manager of the Clinical Services Department.  At the time of writing this report, Ms. Nichole Geha has verbally accepted the position and will be giving a start date shortly.  Ms. Geha was a Public Health Nurse with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit for a number of years before working as a manager of Infectious Diseases in the St. Joachim Valley, California.  She and her husband have relocated back to this area and we welcome her return.

I would also like to welcome Ms. Nicole Robinson as our new Daimler Chrysler Health Promotion Specialist.  Nicole comes to us with ten plus years of experience with the Daimler Chrysler Corporation that is invaluable to our program.  She will be commencing work at the beginning of March 2007.

Recruitment for a Graphic Design Artist is almost complete with an offer being eminent.  This position is to continue work on the Daimler Chrysler Workplace Wellness project.

Ms. Roxanna Sarkis will be returning from her maternity leave on February 19, 2007.  Clerks of lower seniority will have to bump into other positions and ultimately there will be a lay-off.  Notification is being sent out to the other staff and the bumping process will proceed throughout the month of February.

Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Smith, HRO
