Children between the ages of 4 and 18 years of age attending school in the Windsor and Essex County may receive routine vaccines at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
Dental School Screening Clinic
The Windsor Essex County Health Unit provides a Dental School Screening Clinic under the direction of the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion. All Windsor and Essex County elementary schools are screened throughout the school year. Statistical data is collected and forwarded to the Ministry annually.
Hepatitis B Vaccine Grade 7 Student Clinic
The Ontairo Ministry of Health and Long Term Care provides free Hepatitis B vaccine to all grade 7 students on a voluntary basis. Hepatitis B is a serious viral infection that attacks the liver and can lead to liver failure or liver cancer.
